August Monthly Favorites

Updated on August 29, 2015

August was a month of trying new drugstore products. I have not bought anything from the drugstore in a long, long time, and decided this month I would try some new products out there. I have purchased most of these products at my local CVS/Pharmacy, which happens to be my place of employment. I do use coupons for some of my products, which I receive from my local newspaper.

The first product I have to share with you guys is the Up and Up Sensitive Skin Facial Moisturizer. This is the Target brand of the Neutrogena Sensitive Moisturizer. I love Up and Up. Personally, I feel their brand is better in quality than the national brand. This moisturizer is light, creamy, and does not clog my pores. I purchased this for around $6. I have been using this every day and have replaced my Artistry moisturizer with this one. This product will definitely be on my products I will repurchase list!

The next product I have is the Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash (the pistachio one). I love this stuff. It makes my skin so soft and it smells amazing! I do not like nuts or the smell of nuts, but this body wash smells like fresh cream. They also have bars of soap in the same scent, which I will be purchasing this week. Dove soap was on sale at CVS, and I found a coupon on Dove's website for a $1 off! Not a bad deal!

The next two products I have on my August favorites are actually eye care products. if you wear contacts, you know the struggle of constantly buying expensive contact solution. What doubly stinks for me is that I have dry eye, and I have to use extra drops in my eyes just to see clearly when I drive. I saw Renu was on sale and decided to purchase the contact solution. I picked up their Sensitive solution and I can honestly say I will never use BioTrue again. This solution does not irritate my eyes or my contacts. My contacts do not dry out in this solution, and they have a cool feeling when I put them in. Needless to say I decided to get the Renu Rewetting Drops after trying the solution. My contacts stay moist, cool, and clear the whole day!

The last product I have from the drugstore this month is the EOS Blackberry Nectar lip balm. First off, let me preface this by saying I love EOS lip balms. I have about ten in my house. I have been using EOS for three years, and nothing has ever replaced that. I have extremely chapped lips and EOS is the only lip balm I have ever used to completely make my lips smooth. I also love how the lip balm is the perfect primer for lipstick. It makes the best combination. My matte lipsticks come out matte, without looking like I have flakes on my lips. I purchased this lip balm in particular because I have an obsession with blackberries. I am not ashamed to say I crave blackberries more than I do chocolate! That being said, when I saw Blackberry Nectar, I was jumping up and down!

If you are in the mood to try some new products without breaking your checking account, check out some of the products I have listed above! Also, let me know what you are loving and would like me to try!
